Meet Jared Christon
“Im extremely passionate about anything and everything black bear and bring this passion to preserving your black bear hunting experience.
I started working in the professional guiding and outfitting world in 2009 at the age of 17. In 2014 I made the transition to full-time guiding.
My wife Brooklyn and I have been married since 2017 and in 2021 we added our son James to the team.
Black bear taxidermy is the perfect extension to to my professional guiding. I understand the time spent, the long days, the misses, the emotions and everything else that’s a part of a good hunt because I live it. This feeds my passion to offer my clients a finished product that captures the experience and story of their hunt.
Each spring, in May and June I guide on Vancouver Island for black bears. I’ve spent thousands of hours in the field professionally hunting black bears and have seen the body postures, facial expressions and behaviours of these amazing bears up close and first hand.
During the summer and fall hunting season I guide in northern BC for stone sheep, moose, and mountain goats. Come November you’ll find me guiding for big mule deer in Southern Alberta.
Then, from December until April I focus on black bear taxidermy.
I’m grateful to have built a life around my passion of hunting, especially black bears. I look forward to working with you in preserving your animal in a way that you will cherish for a lifetime.”
